It is always our intention to provide quick service to patients who do
require repeat prescriptions.
However, a few rules apply:
Paper Requests
- Please allow 48 hrs for processing of your prescription.
- At any holiday time try to allow more time for your prescription to be done as
closures often mean a higher demand.
- Any medication you may have been given when you attended surgery, is not
necessarily available as a repeat prescription.
- Try not to make additions to your repeat requests, as this will delay the
process. If you do feel this is necessary please allow a minimum of 72 hrs for
the request to be processed.
Telephone Requests on

- Telephone requests are taken between 10.00 and 12.00.
- Please allow 48 hrs for processing of your prescription.
- Try to have your repeat request handy whilst making your order. This makes life
much easier for both yourself and us.
- Can obviously be sent any time of day or night.
- Please allow 48 hrs from the time your e-mail will be seen by us. (If you
are e-mailing us in the evening we will not see your request till the next
morning)
- Make sure the NAME of the patient for whom the drugs are ordered and their
PATIENT NUMBER (at the top of your repeats sheet) is in the e-mail.
- Take care copying the names of your drugs. If we do not understand which
drugs you want, we cannot issue the scripts for them. We will NOT return your
email to ask for clarification.
Emergency Requests
In case of emergency prescription requests, we will do our utmost to process
these as quickly as possible. The earlier these requests are made, the
better the chance of them being acted upon quickly and efficiently.
