Update on the Changes to Visiting Your GP Surgery.

MASK ADVICE FOR GP PRACTICES TO REMAIN UNCHANGED FROM 19 JULY 2021

Current national advice on the use of face masks or coverings in healthcare settings including GP practices will stay unchanged and remain in place after COVID-19 restrictions announced.

We have been asked by some patients to clarify what will happen at the surgeries from Monday morning

✅ We are still requesting you phone the practice rather than come into surgery, unless you have a pre booked appointment. This will reduce footfall and keep those who are ill, vulnerable and need to come in for a face to face interaction keep as safe as possible

✅ The front doors and waiting areas will be open but seating areas have been reduced to maintain social distancing.

✅ We will still follow a one way system and the signs will help direct you

✅ When requesting an appointment our care navigators / reception team can help you and direct you to the most appropriate clinician

✅ If following the above, a consultantion with a GP is appropriate, you will be offered a telephone consultation. The GP will call you and discuss your health issue. If they feel the need to see you should take place face to face, they will offer you an appointment with themselves.

We are implementing change cautiously for your safety- please bear with us.

Thank you from the team
